Mckay Playground Community Build Day!

It’s happening! BCAA and the Mckay Street Park working group are hosting a Community Build Day – Sunday, March 4th to install the playground equipment, pour the concrete and get ‘er done for a shiny new playground! We are looking for 30 volunteers total (unfortunately any more than that will mean that the park space is overcrowded and may hinder the pace of work). Volunteers must be over 18 years of age, however we know that the kids want to be involved (and we want them to be, too!) so we will plan to have an activity for youth that day as well to compliment the Community...

Want to know what Transition Prince Rupert got up to in 2017? Check out our Annual Report! Last year our board was primarily focussed on the Mckay Street Park project – after finalizing a design in Spring – and with HUGE support from the community – we were able to win $100,000 in funds towards the development of a playground on the site. The conceptual designs for the Mckay Street Park revitalization project are now finished – now it’s time to get to work fundraising to make this park a reality!
