Transition’s 2017 Annual Report

Want to know what Transition Prince Rupert got up to in 2017? Check out our Annual Report! Last year our board was primarily focussed on the Mckay Street Park project – after finalizing a design in Spring – and with HUGE support from the community – we were able to win $100,000 in funds towards the development of a playground on the site.

You may notice in our financial statements this year that $100,000 isn’t represented – that’s because BCAA administers the funds themselves, which are used to purchase equipment and fund a community install day. Transition Prince Rupert, KAPs and the Mckay Street working group worked to get the remaining costs donated in-kind (namely clearing and grading of the site) by Marcan, Storey’s Excavating, and trees from Rupert Lawn and Garden.

We are so excited to see this project getting off the ground! And thank you to all who voted, donated, and supported this project. See below for our full 2017 Annual Report, including financial information.
